Sandra is currently playing Jessie Grant in ITV's Emmerdale.
Recently, Sandra returned to The Donmar Warehouse playing Camila Batmanghelidjh in 'The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee takes Oral evidence on Whitehall's relationship with Kids Company', a new verbatim musical with book adapted by Hadley Fraser and Josie Rouke from the 2015 Select Parliamentary hearing. Sandra starred as 'Rose' in Stepping Out (play) featuring Amanda Holden, Tamzin Outhwaite, Natalie Casey, Nicola Stephenson and Tracy Ann Oberman in London's West End.
Prior to that, she played the leading role of 'Queenie' in the critically acclaimed Showboat at The New London Theatre West End, having previously played the role at The Sheffield Crucible. She also previously starred as 'Matron Mama Morton' in Chicago and 'Miss Motormouth Maybelle' in Hairspray, (West End and UK tours) and also joining Michael Ball OBE on his ‘If Everyone was Listening’ and ‘Heroes’ UK tours as a guest.
Other theatre shows include: City Of Angels (Donmar Warehouse), Ragtime, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Porgy and Bess (The Savoy Theatre), The Lion King (Paris) & Cool Hand Luke (The Aldwych Theatre).
Having joined Kate Bush in her ground-breaking sold-out “Before The Dawn” concerts at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo in London, Sandra also appears on her 2016 album 'Before the Dawn Live'.
She has also worked with many other artists, including Liam Gallagher, Tim Burgess and The Charlatans, featuring on their latest album ‘Modern Nature’ and joining them on tour. She has performed frequently at The Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse, The Hideaway, Ronnie Scott's and appearances on BBC Radio 2 and the BBC Radio 6 Music Live Music Festival. She has also performed her solo show to sold out audiences.
Other TV appearances include Citizen Khan, The Royal Variety Show, and features on The Paul O’Grady Show, This Morning & BBC Children In Need. She also starred in the movie Florence Foster Jenkins staring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.
